Die TereScope Systeme von MRV Communications sind drahtlose, optische Kommunikationssysteme für die gebührenfreie Übertragung von Daten, Sprache und Video. Die Datenraten reichen dabei von 2 Mbit/s bis in den Gigabit-Bereich.

Die MRV TereScope Familie, bestehend aus über 30 Modellen mit Bandbreiten von 2 Megabit/s bis zu 1 Gigabit/s und Reichweiten von 200m bis 5100m, ist eine optimale Lösung für die Last Mile bzw. First Mile.

Die MRV TereScope Geräte sind problemlos in vorhandene Netzwerkinfrastrukturen zu integrieren. Telekommunikationsgesellschaften, ISP´s, Banken, Krankenhäuser und andere Unternehmen erhalten somit eine hochleistungsfähige, kostengünstige und leicht umzusetzende Lösung für die Erweiterung ihrer Netzstrukturen. MRV Communications hat die TereScope Familie um passive Produkte erweitert: Systeme, bestehend aus einem passiven Transceiver zur Installation auf dem Dach in Kombination mit aktiven Steuermodulen Inhouse. Somit ist die MRV TereScope Familie noch flexibler geworden. Doch wo Licht ist, da ist auch Schatten. So schränken Witterungseinflüsse die Reichweite von Lasersystemen in unseren Breiten ein. Dabei stellt nicht die theoretisch erreichbare Entfernung das Problem dar, sondern die sich aus der Übertragungsdistanz und den atmosphärischen Störungen ergebende Verfügbarkeit. Atmosphärische bedingte Abschwächungen durch Nebel, Schneeschauer und Luftflimmern sowie die eingesetzten Wellenlängen bei Sender und Empfänger beeinflussen die Übertragungsdistanz. In unseren Breiten empfiehlt sich die Freiraumübertragung von 10Mbps bis 1400 Meter, 100Mbps bis 1100 Meter. Bei Gigabit sind noch knapp 800 Meter erreichbar. Hierbei wird von Sichtweiten unter 500 Metern (Dämpfung von 30dB/km) ausgegangen. Bitte beachten Sie bei Herstellern immer, dass diese normalerweise in Datenblättern die Reichweiten bei 3dB Dämpfung pro Kilometer angeben. Dies entspricht aber Sichtweiten von mehr als einem Kilometer.

Terescope 155 Open Protokoll / Protokoll Select

Das MRV TereScope 155 System dient als eine schnelle Einsatzmöglichkeit für eine Wireless LAN Verbindung (optischer Richtfunk) zur Überbrückung von bis zu 1185m (bei 30db/km). Das System arbeitet hierbei protokollunabhängig im Bereich von 1 bis 155 Mbps oder mit wählbaren Protokollen von 34 bis 155 Mbps. Zum Einsatz kommt dieses System auf der "Last-Mile", wenn eine Realisierung der gleichen Verbindung über kabelgebundene Medien technisch nicht möglich ist oder aus Kostengründen ausscheidet. Es besticht hierbei durch seine einfache und preiswerte Installation und Inbetriebnahme, durch seine hohe Anzahl an Sende-Lasern pro System und die hohe Bandbreite, die auch unter widrigsten Bedingungen sichergestellt ist.  Das TereScope 155 kann wie jedes MRV Produkt über MegaVision Pro, die Netzwerkmanagement-Software von MRV Communications, gesteuert und überwacht werden.

MRV Enterprise Switching Lösungen

Die MRV OptiSwitch Stackable Ethernet Switches der MR-Serie bietet alles, was man zur effizienten Arbeitsplatzanbindung benötigt. Die MRV OptiSwitch MR-Serie besteht aus 10 Switches zur Vernetzung von Arbeitsplätzen und zum Aufbau des Firmenbackbones. Mit der MRV OptiSwitch MR-Serie lässt sich jeder Bedarf abdecken, von 24 Ports Fast Ethernet bis zu 384 Ports mit Gigabit Ethernet. Es stehen Switches mit Layer-2 und Layer-3 Funktionalität zur Verfügung. 10 Gigabit Ethernet Technologien stehen ebenfalls, als Uplink oder als 10 Gigabit Ethernet Switch, zur Verfügung.

Vielfältige Funktionen, wie z.B. 802.1x Authentifizierung, RADIUS, TACACS+, MAC-Security, decken die gestiegenen Sicherheitsanforderungen ab. Eine hohe Verfügbarkeit des Gesamtsystems wird durch den Anschluss redundanter Netzteile, Ersatzwege innerhalb des Stacks („Close Loop“), durch Protokolle wie Rapid Spanning Tree oder natürlich Routing mit OSPF erreicht.

Alle Modelle der MRV OptiSwitch MR-Serie sind in 19-Zoll Technik mit nur einer Höheneinheit ausgeführt.

Die MRV OptiSwitch OSM6500-Serie modularer Ethernet Switches eignet sich hervorragend zum Einsatz an Knotenpunkten im Firmennetz, an denen besonders hohe Anforderungen an Leistung, Ausbaufähigkeit, Zuverlässigkeit und Sicherheit gestellt werden. Die MRV OptiSwitch OSM6500-Serie  besteht zurzeit aus zwei Switches, mit zwei und mit acht Steckplätzen. Maximal können in dem großen Chassis 14 Ports mit 10GE, 168 Ports mit GbE oder 336 Ports mit Fast Ethernet betrieben werden.

Um Betrieb und Wartung des Systems einfach zu gestalten, verfügt der OptiSwitch OSM6508 über Hot-Swap aller wesentlichen Komponenten inklusive des redundanten Controllers und Switch-Fabric, der Netzteile und der Lüfter. Zusätzlich nutzt die MRV OptiSwitch OSM6500-Serie gleiche, im Betrieb steckbare Interfacekarten und so genannte „Advanced Service Module“.

Für besonders kurze Rekonfigurationszeiten verfügt der MRV OptiSwitch OSM6500 neben den Protokollen wie OSPF, VRRP oder Rapid Spanning Tree über das Ethernet Ring Redundancy Protocol ERRP. Die Modelle der MRV OptiSwitch OSM6500-Serie eignen sich sehr für die Kombination mit den stackable Switches der MRV OptiSwitch MR-Serie.
